Just had a VC tell me he's not interested in @OwnTrail because we're centering "past identities, like ethnicity" instead of "future identities, like DAO membership" and I've never felt so good about a rejection before!

There’s this concept I like called the 85% rule. Apparently when athletes are told to run at 85% capacity, they run faster than if they're told to go 100%. It’s a bit counterintuitive, but relaxing and not being so serious can go a long way for productivity.

If the FBI shows up at your door, or your mom’s, or a friend’s, “just to chat” — get their business cards and then don’t speak to them, without first seeking the advice of counsel, who will ideally reach out and arrange a mutually convenient time and preparation. You’re welcome.

Hey, friends, we just gave our company to planet Earth. OK, it’s more nuanced than that, but we’re closed today to celebrate this new plan to save our one and only home. We’ll be back online tomorrow.https://t.co/fvRFDgOzVZ

"Work at a venture-backed startup for a 2-3 years" is massively underrated advice for people who eventually want to start companies.

It's the most obvious advice in the world, but the "apprenticeship" stage is often skipped over. Blog posts and newsletters are a poor substitute.

Twilio joined the ranks of tech companies laying off workers today, announcing plans to cut 11% of its staff. But instead of taking a neutral approach, Twilio did something unique — they did it “through an Anti-Racist/Anti-Oppression lens.” https://t.co/YKGWSmkhYT

5/8/23 Update: Goshen (NY) puts Third World corruption to shame, thanks to greedy, corrupt, unethical lawyers like Andra Dumais. ..... I toppled a Third World dictator and German Radio called me Robin Hood On The Internet. I am not going to get intimidated by some small-town racist. Andrea Dumais is a small-town racist. ....... You are treating me worse than the people 2,000 years ago..... The Soviet bureaucracy of a judicial process.
