How We Have Failed Iran

Dumb White People (DMPs) And Iran
The Fraud In Iran
Iran: This Is What I Am Talking About

There are things I know, and there are things I don't know. A democracy movement is something I know. The Iranian diaspora in the west lives in the smog where if you are not white or black, you are a potential terrorist. I am not even Arab, but I have lost count of how many times I have had to go through the potential terrorist treatment by people in authority. At some point you have to go cynical. These are not people in pain from 9/11. These are racist people who intend to disrespect and exploit 9/11.

It is hard to argue democracy is the best form of government there is when racism exists in the most advanced of democracies.

It is hard for the diaspora to get organized in the face of racism and racist immigration laws and regimes. What's wrong with having a residency requirement for voting? If you have lived in New York City two years, you should be able to vote in the city elections.

My Third World People Don't Get To Vote In This City

The goal of the protests in Iran could not have been to redo the fraud election. Then all the mullah had to do in response was say no. The goal should have organically been shifted to end the regime itself. That shift would have been made possible by a vibrant and organized diaspora and budding political parties.

The king of Nepal issued a shoot at sight order during April 2006, but we still succeeded. (Shoot At Sight Order: Dead End For The King) The mullah's repression is not the reason the movement in Iran is failing. It is lack of leadership and vision. It is a lack of logistical help from the concerned global audience. Movements need money, message and organization.
